从IE6到IE8，中间是微软在浏览器上的大跳跃。windows xp的盗版，为IE6打下了坚实的基础。尽管IE7乃至IE8都已经发布，可是依旧不能改变IE6在中国的强悍地位，或许IE7在中国未能取代IE6的至关重要的原因是windows vista在中国未能很好的普及。但是让习惯了在xp下使用IE6的人去在XP改变自己的习惯去使用IE7操作和界面，多数的中国用户是不愿意的。
IE6是备受争议的一个浏览器，它不兼容W3C，假死。但是这不是网页设计者给自己设计网站找理由的原因，所以在不同浏览器都有所偏差下，网页设计者只能不厌其烦让页面适合所有的浏览器，为此付出无数的精力。可惜的是在同一台电脑上可以装多个其他非windows的浏览器，但是windows的就很难兼顾.
下面介绍一下IE test，IEtester是测试网页在不同IE版本下的利器
这个软件还支持IE8。
